Nick Henderson was born in Seattle on January 8, 1957.
Nick's family moved to Roslyn when he was an infant. Nick is a part of a large extended family in the Cle Elum and South Cle Elum area. He was raised Roslyn, Cle Elum, and South Cle Elum where he lives today.
He graduated from Cle Elum High school 1975.
He attended CWU for three years and followed that with a year at San Francisco College of Mortuary Science.
He then spent seventeen years of his career working in the funeral business.
He is currently employed by Suncadia and manages the Roslyn Museum.
Nick had a very early start with community improvement projects. He has a strong and clear aptitude for public service. He has carried that ethic with him throughout his life.

Master of ceremony at dedication of the Marion "Mike" Cooley Memorial at Douglas Munro Gravesite at the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Cle Elum.
Assisted the Roslyn Veterans Group in purchase and placement of a new flag pole at Veterans Cemetery.
Assisted YBEEP (Yakima Basin Environmental Education Program) in building ADA accessible trail and salmon viewing area on Cle Elum River. It now serves over 1,500 students per year.
Nick helping with a project on the Cle Elum River used by Yakima Basin Environmental Education Program to have a safe place for school children to view spawning Spring Chinook Salmon. This is the group of Boy Scouts that built the seating area for an Eagle Scout Project for Carson Arnold of Kittitas. This project was a partnership with; Yakima Basin Environmental Education Program, Boys Scouts, US Forest Service, US Bureau of Reclamation, Suncadia and Washington Fish & Wildlife.

Assisted in starting the Todd Anderson Memorial Scholarship at CWU for rodeo club students.
Assisted the CWU Rodeo Club to get new vests for competition.

Designed the Rotary Clubs of Ellensburg - West Ellensburg Baseball Monument.
Helped design the Coal Miner's Memorial.

Nick & Louie Harper did the 1st inventory of the Roslyn Museum as a history class project in 1972.
Nick & Richard Parko were the 1st kids to ask the City of Roslyn to clean up the Old City Cemetery which was about 1971 and the next year the local history class and Roslyn Kiwanis Club continued the work, 1st year just Richard & Nick.
In high school Nick worked on the Roslyn Cemetery sign project some of which are still being used.
As a freshman in high school headed a group of local students to reopen the Roslyn Public Library.
